Feeling a bit melancholy today. Sickness has descended on our house. Emma feels fine but sounds terrible and I go back and forth between zero energy and bouncing off the walls.
October has always been my favorite month. Cool air and the promise of Halloween. This year, I feel like I’m enjoying it less. I’m cranky about the cool air and Halloween seems like one more task to check off the list. That’s a terrible way to feel about one’s favorite holiday. I think it’s because I know what’s around the corner: winter. In Chicago. Never a good thing.
But! I didn’t come here today to whine. I came to say thank you to all of you who come here and read. The other day, I joined a bunch of gals and posted a link to my site in an effort to stop lurking and be counted. And lo and behold, there was Kayla — stopping by to say hello. And what an awesome feeling to have someone take a moment to do just that. I started thinking about all of the sites I go to every day and how much I love them and how I never say a single word. Nothing. So I’m going to do my best to change that. I’m going to comment on EVERY. SINGLE. BLOG I read during the month of October, until I’ve commented at least once on all of them. I encourage you to do the same.
